Last year this week was in the 50s and 60s for daytime temps. As much as I hate to admit it, the view this year seems much more normal to me. Don’t really like the single digit daytime temps, but look at all the beautiful snow cover, providing protection for tender perennials.
Granted, I am sick of pushing snow and re-filling 1000 gallon propane tanks. Walking through the deep stuff in layers upon layers of clothing and pulling myself onto the tractor over and over again has been good for my leg muscles and lung capacity, though!
These guys would probably prefer that March 20 in North Dakota wasn’t just a fake holiday!
Oh, but hope springs eternal! Mark and I moved the water tank yesterday because the snow was level with the top and the horses nearly had to kneel to drink from it. Under all that snow was green grass!
