This is work!

Judy (Mom), Kaitlin and I are in Minneapolis at our annual trade show for The Flower House Garden Center. It is a fascinating combination of work, fun (new varieties, old friends), education, and decision-making. We hit lots of fun garden centers and gardens on the way down.

Coneflowers.

Kaitlin and I spent several hours learning (and re-learning) about water/media pH, growth regulators, photo periods and a whole bunch of other things we partly-understand. Judy worked on placing orders for next year’s geraniums and all sorts of other plants. We all tried to make semi-educated guesses on what our customers would want in planter containers, colors of plants and giftware.

One of the growers had some great examples of plants which will be available for us next year.

A bee was getting its share of the samples of the day!

Boy, I hope we have made a least a few of the right decisions!
