It’s not often that Halloween comes and goes in North Dakota without winter showing up. So far, we’ve only had an extremely light dusting. In fact, I don’t think any flakes actually made it to the ground. We were in Bismarck last night (Halloween) and it was tee-shirt weather! I remember being Casper the Friendly Ghost (probably about 1972) and the snow drifts were at least two feet deep. Good thing Casper could have a snowsuit under that costume!

The sunrises and sunsets have been fantastic.

We’re busy getting ready for our first Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase in Grand Forks this coming weekend. I don’t think we’ll have fruitcake done, but the rest if falling into place! Robbie made six batches of caramels today and Kaitlin perfected her Almond Butter Crunch technique. Leah and Judy struggled with the printer trying to get nearly 2000 brochures ready for mailing. I’m not good at organizing that sort of detail, so we always are doing it at the last minute!

My wrapping elves showed up again tonight. Forty-five pounds of Creamy Caramels and one batch of Nutty Caramels cut, wrapped and  tucked away!

It’s cold and snowing here. Fall is fleeting this year….gone already. I am so sad. Your candy looks very yummy.
